During the summer of 2013, I laid out the orchard from my design and began preparing the 100-foot long rows for planting. The first half of the trees, nuts and berries were planted that fall with the remainder planted in the spring of 2014. I delight in seeing the growth and change from year to year!

The two photos below were taken from the same spot. It was great to start out with an open field that had been mowed by the owner for decades. The vibrancy of the growth over the years is amazing to me.
